I finished Foundling last Friday. Such a relief to write the last word, though I know it’s not quite done yet. It still needs to be edited, but as far as the story goes, I think I’m done! We celebrated with some profiteroles 🙂

I drafted out the 2nd book–still no title yet–yesterday, and am quite happy with the outline. I want to start writing it asap, but I need to first write my short story about how Roy and Peri name the baby dragon. The trouble is, I can’t settle on a name for the dragon! Naming and titling things just isn’t my thing.

I’ve also finished watching Star Trek: Enterprise. Wow. Such a bad last episode. I’m so glad that I wasn’t a fan during that 12 year dry spell when there was no Star Trek to watch. There’s a lot of benefits to coming late to something, even if at times, you feel like you missed the boat. I’m now watching Star Trek: Next Generation, though I’m halfway through the first season and can’t really get into it yet. Also… The Alienist recently caught my eye, and I have a feeling I’ll be taking a break from Star Trek for a short while.

In other news, I’ve decided to try out Twitter. It’s not a platform that suits me very well at first glance–I don’t like the idea of talking to strangers in very short snippets that can be so easily misunderstood. But there are so many authors out there, and I really do want to connect with them and my future readers. Let’s see what happens, shall we?

Oh, and if you happen to have some fantastic dragon names, do drop them into the comments below. I’ll need inspiration for future books, and who knows if yours sounds wonderful, I might just use it 😉
